Jackpot shooters….WE DID IT !!! We finally held the MGC Jackpot Finale today. And what a Finale it was.
First all I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2019-2020 MGC Jackpot season. You all make the Fall/Winter/Spring easier to get through when everything else shuts down and goes into hibernation. The smiling faces, the competition, the banter and the camaraderie is something to look forward to throughout the Winter. Mark Cameron and myself can’t thank you enough.
Also, kudos go out to Scott Steffen who gets everybody squadded up and out to the fields and figuring out the winners each week. And making sure that I flip the coin right. And today, thanks to Virginia Hines and Craig Raines for scoring and seeing all of my chips. And, to Charlie Leavitt for providing lunch today. Thank you Scott, Virginia, Craig and Charlie.
Second, MGC will be throwing Jackpot Trap EVERY SATURDAY until this COVID thing loosens up. Any entries WILL count toward the Jackpot Finale next year. We will do this until the ATA registered shoots start back up. Usual start time, usual Daily Lewis Class payouts. I hope that you will be able to join us.
Now, the results……Today was a beautiful sunny day with temps in the low 70’s…EXCEPT for the Owatonna Breeze that blew all day. 15-20 mph winds with 25-30 mph gusts. That damn wind was even moving some of our bigger shooters around.
Butt….as always, the cream rises to the top. Glenn Linden, 1st squad out, posts a 49 !!! Glenn runs the singles and drops one in handicap. Great shooting Glenn. Eight squads later…Dennis Kecker misses one in the singles and runs the handicap for another 49 !!! Great shooting Dennis. Curt Peterson and Scott Steffen both posted 48’s but as you will see, they didn’t even count. Great shooting both of you. And from there is went. Lots of people, lots of payouts.
