Oct 30

Wow, we couldn’t have asked for a better day for the 2021 Halloween Jackpot. It was a beautiful sunny day with temps in the upper 50’s with a 5 mph west breeze. Lot’s of good scores and two 49’s turned in. Leon Houle got his pie and a 49 the hard way, 25 straight in Handicap. Ray Monson ran the Singles and dropped one in Handicap for his 49. Great shooting, both of you. To make it interesting today we started switching to the all green White Flyer Targets which we will be using the rest of the Jackpot season. The flouresent green really stood out with the bright sunshine. They looked twice as big as the orange dome ones.
The pies and the Winchester AA Diamond Grade shells…….Leon, on the 3rd squad out got the first one and then they started rolling in. A total of thirteen 25 straights today.
The pie and shell winners with 25’s in the order they came in…..Leon Houle, Curt Peterson, Scott Prafke, Derek Fischer, Ray Monson, Jimmy Bowen, Scott Messenger, Sandy Jack, Jerry Chellgren, and Eric Gunderson. Tom Lewic got his with a 24.
Two 49’s, one with 25 Handicap and one with 25 Singles. That meant that the coin flip for long run would determine who got the Apple Lattice Grand Prize pie…..and wear the apron. The flip was Singles from the back so that gave Ray Monson 1st Class 1st Place. Way to go Ray. He looked real good in that apron too.
