Here is another obit from another source.

Jim Thomas, retired Master Sergeant, U. S. Army Special Forces.  Awarded the army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star, the Air Medal, and two Purple Hearts during his two tours in Vietnam.

He accomplished many things during his life but his service in Vietnam remained one of his proudest achievements.

Jim was a talented craftsman, art collector, writer, and a weapons enthusiast and collector.  He owned a successful business since 1969, and supported wildlife and nature.  He spoke often of the peace he found in the seclusion of being “up north,” watching the deer, ducks, and other wildlife.

He enjoyed imparting his wisdom and discoveries to his daughters, Andrea and Bridgette, and loved being a grandfather to Audrey.
