In spite of the weather guessers bogus forecast, lot’s of sun and 55 degrees, my shivering buttocks said different, we had a HUGE day at the MGC traps. It was 37 degrees at the start with a 16 mph wind out of the north. Yeah, it was so cold that you could see your breath when you called “pull”. Even with that we had a record breaking number of entry’s today. ONE HUNDRED AND TWO ENTRY’S. That’s OUTSTANDING. THANK YOU to EVERYBODY that participated today and throughout the MGC Jackpot season. A great bunch of people that make the Saturday’s something to look forward to.
Today was no different than most, there are a lot of good scores and then there is one great score. There were five 47’s posted, Curt Peterson had two of them, Scott Messenger, Ray Monson and Glenn Linden. Nice shooting guys. And, that looked like it would be the top score of the day with the weather conditions. But, nooo, somebody is always laying in the weeds to bust the bubble. That somebody today, again, was Derek Fischer!! Derek missed one on the singles and ran the handicap for a 49. You picked a good day to do that Derek, great shooting. On to the scores…lots of them.
