A side note. With all the banter that goes on about who shoots what gun and which is the better gun, there had to be some side betting going on as the last squad went out, in the rain and wind. Mark Z threw his wallet on the table and said he would put ALL his money on Troy “Smoooth” Smith to beat Jimmy Bowen. Well, Jimmy’s friend, MIA, put his drink down, and said he had $5.00 to take the wager. The match is set. After the wind blown “sporting clays” singles were over it was a tie. 24 to 24. Over to the Handicap field they go. Troy on the 25 yd. line, Jimmy on the 27. First 2 posts, they’re even. Post 3. Troy misses one, Jimmy misses one…and then Troy misses another. Final score Jimmy 48, Troy 47. The Bowen gun comes out on top. Another bad decision by the Prez. To get against Jimmy Bowen, and buy more Krieghoff’s. Oh well.
On behalf of the Minneapolis Gun Club, we wish everybody a great summer of shooting. Use those registered targets to practice up for the upcoming Jackpot season. Our Jackpot warm up will be Saturday, September 1st. Hope to see you there.
