Wow, a great finish to the MGC 2016-2017 Jackpot season!!!
The weather wasn’t as good as it was last weekend, 55 degrees instead of 70, and it was a little windy, but it was DRY!!! That was a good thing with all the rain we’ve had the last week.
But, the conditions didn’t hamper the good scores from coming in. The 48’s were looking really good….all 6 of them…..until, yeah, you guessed it….Brody Padgett posts a 49, his 1st time shooting at MGC since he made it to the 27 yd. line for the first time at MGC last summer, and then on the last squad out, Glenn Linden also posts a 49, which bumped most of the 48’s out of Lewis Class contention. Great shooting Brody and Glenn!!!
There were 20 shooters that were qualified for the $1000.00 added money and most of them were there to shoot for the money.
Before I get to the results, the payouts for the Daily Lewis Class and the added money were the same competitors for the most part due to the dreaded coil toss. Yes, I flipped the coin but I certainly didn’t call the flip, as you will see.
MGC would like to thank everyone who participated in this seasons Jackpots and to everyone who brought food to share today. David Maples brought seasoned chicken wings, Curt Peterson, venison sausage, Scott Steffen, shrimp and sauce, Hot Lips Demulling, her world class world famous cookies, and JB, Black Walnut Chocolate Cake with raspberries. Showing up for the food alone is worth it.
We will do our annual Labor Day Weekend 2 Day Jackpot in September to kick off the 2017-2018 Jackpot season so shoot those “registered” jackpot practice shoots as much as you can this summer. Have a safe summer.
